The Board of Directors recognized Shad Mort, who served for 17 years as Lake Manager and is now moving on to a different role. Shad was commended, by VVA Board Member Mark Leggett for his dedicated service to the VVA. Mark Leggett was also recognized for 12 years of service on the Board of Directors. Other volunteers recognized were Paula Hepinstall for her contribution to the Dredge Committee and the Finance Committee, and Dennis Schlaiss for his many years of service on the Volunteer Fire Department. In other highlights, year five of the five-year plan was ratified by a unanimous vote. More in the upcoming issue of the Lake Viking News.
