OLD BUSINESS
Zack reported that the supervisor from Decker Construction did a site visit recently in preparation for moving the GAC units into the plant. The valves are still being built, pumps are on backorder, and all the pipe is in. Zack also shared that, due to tariffs, the cost to fill the units with carbon has increased so he will check with a couple more vendors to compare pricing.
NEW BUSINESS
Financial Report:
The financial reports and bills were reviewed and discussed. Harlan Horst moved to approve the January and February financial reports as submitted and approve the bills and transfers. Mark Closterman seconded. All members voted to approve; motion carried.
Diane noted that the health insurance renewal came in at $39,000 instead of the $36,000 that was budgeted. The budget will be adjusted mid-year to reflect the increase.
DISCUSSION
Superintendent Report:
Zack informed the board that the quarterly Trihalomethane (THM) sample results came back good. He also reported that an invoice for $5491.50 was received from VVA for asphalt road repair on seven leaks which came in higher than the $4500 budgeted. Zack also noted that the audit has been completed and that one repair, one installation and 25 locates have been done in the last month.
Kyle Parkhurst, President, announced the next meeting would be April 21, 2026 at the water plant. The meeting was adjourned at 5:30pm.
Respectfully Submitted,
Mark Closterman
